Title: Lonely
Pairing: KyuMin
Rating: G
Summary: A short KyuMin that just expresses: When I met you; I learned the true meaning of love. And when I was distanced from you, I learned the true meaning of loneliness.
Kyuhyun’s body shivers as the chill of the ice rink crawls under his thin sweater. Rubbing his shaking fingers up and down his arms, he grits his teeth and narrows his eyes.
“I thought you said you were going to teach me how to skate.” He growls, loud enough that his voice would echo through the empty building, and for the giggling male to hear him from the other side of the ice.
Sungmin, dressed in a white hat, scarf and gloves, let’s out another giggle before he slowly does a lazy “8” and skates backwards towards the unbalanced male. “It’s not everyday we have a whole rink to our selves, let me enjoy it too.” He says, wide eyes sparkling with delight.
“You bribed the janitor.” Kyuhyun states, raising an eyebrow and flailing his arms as he loses balances. He let’s out a sigh of relief as he puts a firm hand on Sungmin’s shoulder. “And you told me you’ll teach me how to skate if I came with you tonight,” He wobbles to try and get to the walls of the rink, but fails when he chips the toe of his skate on the ice.
Sungmin has a good laugh as he watches Kyuhyun’s infuriated form lay sprawled on the cool sheet of ice. He offers a hand and helps the younger male up. “I know I know. I never said I wasn’t going to!” He grabs both of Kyuhyun’s hands and skates backwards, pulling the startled male with him.
“Wait! Wait!” Kyuhyun splutters, knees shaking and body leaning completely forward. He gulps as he tries to straighten up, but ends up falling backwards onto his derrière.
“Honestly,” Sungmin sighs, a teasing grin on his full lips. “You can’t even keep your balance! You should cut back on the gaming and exercise more.” He chuckles and extends a hand.
Annoyed, Kyuhyun gets successfully onto his feet, clinging to Sungmin’s gloved hands. “Gaming is healthy for my mind, keeps me sane from people like you.” They resume the same positions again, Sungmin going a lot slower for the inexperienced male.
After a few minutes of Sungmin quietly instructing Kyuhyun how to keep his balance and to move forward, the younger males lips crack open a smile as he slowly let’s go of Sungmin’s hands and begins to glide around the rink by himself.
But then, a sudden chill racks his body with a shiver, making him lose his balance momentarily - which was enough to make him fall. “If I knew how darn cold it was going to be, maybe I would’ve come prepared.” He gives Sungmin, who was wrapped head to toe in winter wear, a pointed look.
Rolling his eyes, Sungmin watches as Kyuhyun gets up and glides over to him. Taking off his hat and gloves, he gently and caringly, places them on the younger. Sungmin doesn’t miss how Kyuhyun gives him a small smile, or how he links their hands when Sungmin takes them to place the gloves over it.
“It’s been a while since we’ve had some ‘us’ time.” Kyuhyun whispers, his breath forming a white puff of air.
Sungmin’s cheeks turn a light shade of pink as their entwined hands link tighter together. “Blame our busy lives,” he murmurs. He looks up from the hands to dark, smoldering orbs staring so piercingly at him. The raw sign of affection and pure warmth was enough to make his body warm and ignore the chill of the rink.
But Kyuhyun was right; it has been forever since they had any close time together. Sharing a room didn’t always mean that they’ll see each other everyday, not when both of them were so busy.
“Well, we have today to spend together. It’s been too long since we’ve had any fun together.” Sungmin says cheerfully. Just as he is about to skate away and drag Kyuhyun along, the younger male tugs on his hand and Sungmin is pulled into a surprise hug.
Kyuhyun breathes deeply and sighs peacefully. “It’s been way too long since I held you like this.” He pulls back and stares into sparkling eyes. “I forget how you feel beside me sometimes, how your body feels in my arms or how your hair tickles my nose…” He tilts his head to the side and smiles. “It almost feels like I’m holding you for the first time right now.”
Sungmin’s arms tighten around Kyuhyun’s waist, his nose buried in Kyuhyun’s chest. He has missed this incredible warmth as well. “I’ve forgotten about this too,” Sungmin sighs, tilting his head up.
Soft, warm lips capture his cold ones in a long, slow kiss. The feeling was like their first kiss; chaste and careful. But soon, it changes and frenzy hands caress each other’s face and body as their mouths part. For who knows how long, they’ve lived on short sleepy kisses; bodies and minds too lazy to function.
They break away slowly for air, Kyuhyun leaning in to place his forehead lightly on Sungmin’s. He watches how the long lashes create shadows across the rosy cheeks, and how the lips part slightly and puffs of air can be seen. Cute, is the only word that comes to his mind.
“Although we share a room and all,” Sungmin starts, “and I might be the only one who felt like this. But…” He looks up to meet Kyuhyun’s warm gaze. “This makes me realize how lonely I truly felt the past couple weeks.”
Something pulls at Kyuhyun’s heart strings. “Yeah,” He whispers, “I’ve been feeling that too.” Involuntarily, they both tighten their hold on each other.
After a while of just holding each other, and listening to each other’s heartbeat and breathing, Kyuhyun smiles and leans back slightly. “Well, we have all this space to ourselves, let’s have some fun.” He grabs Sungmin’s hand, “come on teach, show me how to skate.”
A small smile paints across Sungmin’s lips, as he agrees and pulls the younger male along. “I have a feeling you’re going to be black and blue by tomorrow.” He teases, earning a light slap on the butt.
I think when I met you; I learned the true meaning of love. And when I was distanced from you, I learned the true meaning of loneliness.
A/N: I don’t know… but I feel like this small fic is kind of representing what I’ve been feeling towards the whole LJ world for the past weeks. I’m around and doing my things - I go on the computer enough, but never on msn or LJ or to update the many fics that I should. (I’ve mostly been focusing on RL really @__@)
(/__\) waaaaah I feel like a failure. I miss talking to the LJ family T____________T Well, with a week of finals, and then provincials left. I’m hoping to squeeze in msn time and LJ uploading time. Anyone miss me? ):D ehehe<3
