Title: A Silly Love
Pairing: KyuMin
Rating: PG13
*Fluff, Humor, Romance, Oneshot
“Do you know?”
A cup of coffee paused half-way to his lips, Sungmin looks to his young friend seated across from him, a book on his lap. Sungmin raises his eyebrows and takes a slow sip.
“Know what?” He asks, scowling and fanning his burnt tongue.
The hardwood squeaks under the weight of the tall male as he walks towards the loveseat Sungmin was seated on. He takes the warm cup from the soft hands and places it on the counter, taking those delicate hands in his instead.
“Why we are given two of everything?” A warm, rich voice whispers; sending a shiver down Sungmin’s spine. His chocolate brown eyes stare up into a mirror image; a color so similar to his own, but so different at the same time.
Quizzical, Sungmin shrugs and tries to ignore the sudden rise of heat to his face. He suddenly finds the color of the floor captivating.
“We were given,” slender fingers softly touch his chin and gently lift it upwards, “two hands to hold, two legs to walk, two eyes to see, and two ears to listen.” The melodious voice says, caressing Sungmin’s cheek as their entwined hands tighten.
“But why only one heart?” Suddenly Sungmin finds those velvety eyes inches away from his; their noses lightly brushing. Silently gasping, Sungmin’s eyes slowly close as his breathing quickens, as well as his heart. He freezes when a warm breath ghosts over his lips.
“Because the other was given to someone,” the voice that Sungmin fell in love with says, “For the one to find.”
His body buzzing with heat and heart drumming against his chest, Sungmin waits for what was about to come.
But did it usually take this long for a kiss?
Timidly, he peeks open an eye and then the other. His eyes widen in surprise, and then narrow in fury.
A storm brewing, he kicks the shaking form of his lover on the floor and marches to his room. “Cho Kyuhyun, you are such an asshole!” Sungmin pouts, throwing the book of ‘101 silly love quotes for dummies’ at the younger male, who was dying with laughter on the floor. His aim was a tad off, and the book landed in the kitchen sink instead.
“Oh man, but you should have seen your face!” Kyuhyun snorts, calming himself. “Who knew such immature things can make you-“ He pauses when he looks up to see Sungmin on the verge of tears. Guilt immediately kicks him in the guts.
“Minnie, don’t cry!” He says, feeling sorry. He tries to hug Sungmin, but gets pushed away as Sungmin runs into the bedroom.
“You always ruin the mood!” Sungmin whines behind the door.
Kyuhyun slumps against the wooden frame and purses his lips, knocking lightly on the door. “I just wanted to tease you… Don’t be mad.” He puts a hand on the knob. “I promise I won’t do anything dumb like that again, so please open the door?”
Silence, then the door opens slightly and Sungmin pokes his head out. “Promise?” He pouts, eyes glimmering and wide.
“Promise,” Kyuhyun says solemnly. He then yelps as a hand roughly jerks him inside. He blinks as Sungmin pushes him down on their bed. “Eh?” He squeaks, his body vibrating from the dark look in the other males eyes.
“Revenge for killing the mood,” Sungmin whispers, a sadistic smile forming on his lips.
Kyuhyun’s eyes widen as he moans, “It’s not even noon yet!!”

Title: When…

My heart quickens faster than the speed he is running. Dry as the desert, I swallow and snap myself out of it. If I stared too long, I would be considered weird.
But it was hard not to.
Drifting away from the lesson again, I timidly stare out the window to my left. There he was, running for all he’s got, his white shirt slightly drenched from the sweat as his soft hair is plastered against his skin.
His body is fluid and fast, his reflexes unmatched. Although lacking in power, he had speed, but even then he still smiled and laughed when he lost the ball. I momentarily close my eyes and picture the sound of his musical laughter in my head. How would it sound to my ears? Rich, rough and deep? Light, sound and calming? My heart skips a beat as my thoughts linger on the topic.
I slowly open them again, and frown when I can’t find him on the field below me. Panic and disappointment rise as I sit straighter in my seat, eyes furiously scanning the ground. And then, like a snap of the fingers, there he was; sitting on the grass below me. Joking and laughing with his peers, and drinking water so coolly it made my lips dry and crave for it.
How strange I’ve become during these past months, at this very hour of day, when I’m trapped in this confined classroom, and he is free and flying, just outside my window. I wish every time that he would once look in my direction, and notice his silent admirer. But it was a foolish wish; for he was laughing with freedom, as I watch with a caged heart.
A soft sigh escape my lips, and just as I’m about to turn and face the front, that familiar yet unknown face whips in my direction. I freeze as my eyes lock with his, those impossible eyes I’ve always wanted to see. He wasn’t so close that he would know my face, but he wasn’t that far to know that I have been staring at him.
Flushed and heart thrumming with an unknown sensation, I turn abruptly away. Moments later, I peek out the window again to see that he is still there, while all his friends are leaving, staring at my window - at me.
‘When I saw you, I was afraid to meet you…’
“You… You’re in my seat…” I whisper, body shaking with nerves and face impossibly red. My eyes drift to my shoes; I bite my lip to stop the quivering.
He smiles at me, I couldn’t see it, but I could feel it. “Oh? So is this your seat?” He asks, bending low and tapping my chin to push it upwards. I gasp in shock as he stands inches away from me, his warm hand touching my skin; my face. He wasn’t that much taller than me, possibly in a few years, I may out grow him, but the air around him was mature.
“I asked you, is this your seat?” He says warmly, voice a perfect pitch. It rang clearly in my mind, I paused momentarily to make a note on how clear yet husky it was; rough but smooth as velvet. I could picture a stream of clear water running over rough rocks - rounding it.
I nod and squeak, “Yes!” I immediately cover my mouth and shut my eyes in embarrassment.
He could feel his body shaking with laughter; I flush a darker shade of red. “How cute,” he whispers, only meant for me to hear. “See you around, Lee Taemin.” He says, patting my shoulder as he brushes past me. My senses take a jolt, from the electrical touch of his hand to his fresh scent of freesia. I shakily take a seat in my chair, ignoring the other classmates.
“Kim Jonghyun,” I whisper, absent mindedly fiddling with my name tag as I admire how it rolled off my tongue and sounded with my voice.
‘When I met you, I was afraid to kiss you’
“You have something on your face, Taemin.” Jonghyun chuckles, finishing his half of the sandwich.
I quickly brush my cheek with my hand and repeat it as he keeps shaking his head at me with an amused smile.
“No, not there, here,” Jonghyun says, reaching slowly with his gentle hands. Out of reflex, I shut my eyes as I will my heart to calm, or else he will hear my anxiety.
Soft fingers brush the corner of my lips, then my chin. I stop breathing altogether and count the impossibly long seconds he holds my face in his hand. Body thrumming with energy from his simple touch, I slowly open my eyes and gasp.
He wasn’t even an inch away from me. I could count each eyelash, see how deep his eyes are, feel his breath on my lips, smell his comforting scent… and soon, taste his exploding flavor.
‘When I kissed you, I was afraid to love you.’
He wraps the blanket around us and pulls me closer to him, not even the slightest breath of air between us.
My cheeks color as I can feel his warmth engulfing me, and feel his strong rhythmic heart against my own. I relax and breathe slowly, sitting more comfortably against his chest as his arms wrap around me lovingly.
“Hey, look! A shooting star!” he whispers, breath ghosting against my ear, tickling me. I grin and look up to see a quick glimpse of a falling star. I close my eyes and make a wish.
“A couple more hours and the meteor shower should start,” Jonghyun says, nuzzling the crook of my neck. “Are you cold?”
I gently shake my head and sigh in comfort. “I’m just perfect,” I reply, smiling brightly. A calm hand caresses my cheek and carefully turns my face around. I close my eyes and soon feel the roughly gentle lips capture mine in a slow kiss.
As we break apart, we stare into each other’s eyes, both our eyes mirroring each others in love and affection.
He then points behind me, “Look!”
I turn and stare up at the night sky that is glittering with a shower of stars and lights. Clasping my hands together, I make my wish - the only wish that I need to come true.
“I love you,” he whispers next to my ear, making me smile and see the world in a different light.
‘Now that I love you, I’m afraid to lose you.’
