DVD Shrink does exactly what it's supposed to, it's not like there's been any changes in DVD format lately. So just update your ripper (preferably DVDFab) to deal with the latest copy protections and be done with it. Depending on the amount of compression, not all movies will turn out great with DVD Shrink. If you can maintain something greater than 75-70% then it is good, otherwise use DVD Rebuilder/HCEncoder. If you are doing just the movie it would be really rare to go to 60% or lower. Who watches all the extras anyway? It is impossible to back-up 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'Titanic' without having to use DVD Rebuilder.
You are so nice to share these with us.

Hello. Binkie7 has a point, certain releases of Nero 6 had problems. Nero 7 has been around for a while. I switched to it and don't mess with the updates unless it's for something I need. I've been burning trouble free for a long time.
