[The Colonel is a general mean bastard, which everyone knows. He doesn't like people around his house. Spends the holidays alone. Never seems to have friends or family.

He doesn't mind Lucius, though, because Lucius usually keeps to himself and doesn't make much of a fuss.

And it just so happens that A Christmas Carol was his favorite book growing up, and all his pissiness at Hoffman has just come to a head. So he pops back on.] I don't really have one, but I wouldn't mind if you kept readin' that one. Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come was always the best bit.

[ If Lucius is surprised at the response he gets, or rather at whom brings it, he is cultured enough not to display it overmuch. He, himself, has no objections for the Colonel either, as only two middle-aged Christmas recluses can lack them for one another. ]

You are too kind, Colonel.

And you've good taste, it is the more engaging chapter. The ones that follow [ you know, the happy ending ] can be left or taken.

I don't mind the ending chapters. Meant that last ghost hammered home the point so hard Scrooge didn't have it in him to pussy out of it.

[Christmas sentiments are so full of love and laughter. Only not really.]

So often, however, it is not necessarily a learning experience. Would that we all changed when confronted with death.

Over night and just in time for Christmas, even.

It just doesn't feel like Christmas until someone brings in a reaper. Thank The Maker the lord, my holiday is complete!

You are most welcome. Unless you had any other suggestions, particularly ones that do not involve reindeer.

Oh no, that one is one of my favorites, right up with that film where the jolly skeleton fellow petrifies a town full of children with his grusome gifts

[Sarcasm? Really hard to tell at this point!]
