Last night I got to thinking again about all the things I want to do.

  • I love people and helping them, that is why I chose psychology. I do know that these things take time to get good at, as does anything. I'm just not sure if I can find myself in a career with psychology. I'd love to work with substance abuse or suicide prevention. I just don't ( Read more... )

You're not alone in your confusion, I can relate so much.
My plan is to travel and do research for my major (marine biology) and then teach Biology later on in my life. I always wanted to be a teacher, but I don't think I can spend my whole life in a classroom. So far, this plan is working for me. Don't stress too much, you'll figure it out :)

Pfft, knowing what you want to do with your life is sooo over rated lol :] *says the girl on her sixth major in five semesters* XD

No, seriously. The only people that really know what they want to do are the weirdos with their five year plan written out on like color coordinated post its hanging above their desk. You don't want to be one of those weirdos do you? Of course not. So you're doing just fine :]

I changed my major 6 times before I settled on early childhood education. As long as you are just taking all your liberal arts core, etc. you aren't really wasting much :] and anyways, that's what college is about - finding yourself and getting a degree in what you love. And there's no harm in going back to get another degree if you decide you want to do something else.
