Computer parts?

So my old laptop is beyond dead.  Fried hard drive or something of the sort.  I'm just going to get rid of the computer, but wanted to see if anyone wants any of the parts before I do (powercord, removable CDRW drive, color plates, wireless card, etc.)

My coworker rebuilds computers, I am in need of a laptop at the moment and he said he would help me rebuild it

I would gladly take it off your hands and/or pay a price for it if you want.

It's all yours. You'll probably need a new hard drive.
All I ask is that if you somehow get the old hard drive to work that you rescue a few files off of it for me... nothing that important, just stuff that would be nice to have (mostly just pictures of cool ice cicles).

If Kyle doesn't end up rebuilding it I would have mayhap been interested.
My CD-rom drive stopped working and my power cord turned uber-tempermental.
Anyway, let me know if something changes.
