Exciting Times Here In Mayberry

SNOW!! :D

It's snowing.

Yay!

The flakes are huge, like, quarter-to-silver dollar size. Out one window, the way they're falling, it loooks more like bits of ash [wow- it's getting heavier], and I feel like I'm watching remnants of a Sycorax ship fall onto my house and yard. It's already coating the pine trees outside, and the roof slant below my ( Read more... )

I live a short distance from the place Mayberry was based on so your subject line made me laugh.

We had snow yesterday and I'm SOOOO glad it's gone. We've seen enough this year but I hope you enjoy yours.

Really? Huh. Yeah, this is a one-stoplight town, and said stoplight is never.red. Ever. It blinks yellow for kids crossing, since it's right in front of the school, and blinks red (so there is a light bulb in it; I was wondering for a while) during "fest" season- applefest, octoberfest, harleyfest... it's a very fest-y place, Meadow Vista. Is yours similar?

It's the freakiest thing, OMFG, the sky? IS BLUE right now. Blue. It just flurried and now we've got cloudy BLUE sky. WTF, weather? WTAF? ;)

Our town is fairly large, but Mayberry = Mount Airy and it's a small quaint little town. My town does the Apple Festival every year and also hosts a bluegrass festival called Merle Fest.

lol Our skies and blue today. Very windy out so most of yesterday's snow has melted or blown away throughout the day thankfully. I'll personally be glad to see spring.

I did not know that! Very cool.

heh- Merle Fest. Cute. Not a real Merle fan, but "fest" makes just about anything cute. :)

What's funny is that I live in a part of Texas where it never snows and after snowing 3 times this year, I'm so sick of it I could scream. People around here DO NOT know how to drive in snow and ice. Hopefully, there'll be no more of it for us this year.

Oh, honey, ppl can't drive ANYwhere. It's ridiculous. Add in things falling from the sky, OMG! and it's like, FLAIL!PANIC! We've got a freeway full of Jesus Take The Wheel re-enactments. Guys, Jesus has better things to do than keep your failtastic butts on the road, mmkay? Turn into the skid, y'all, slow yer behinds down a teeny bit, put down the cell phone, pay a-freaking-ttention, and you'll be fine. ;P
Weren't they supposed to take a test or something?? w/e. :)

It is kinda weird for March to have snow, but there's been freaky weather going on a year now, so I just take it in stride, ya know? Something new every day. :)

Snow is evil and I wish it would die.

....

We're just now getting rid of the 30+ inches we got here. I'm sick of it. [laugh]

LOL Aww, my poor bb!! *hands you hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows* 30+inches?! Sheesh! I'd be sick of it, too, I think. Where are you that you get that much snow?

Wrap up warm, my love, and play a summer playlist mix or something. ;)
