I think the polls for those of us in the peninsula close at 7p.m. But since Tallahasse and the panhandle are in another time zone their polls close at 8 p.m. Remember that is why there was so much confusion about Florida's status last time. They used the information from the eastern part of the state before the rest of the state had a chance to finish voting. So the 8 p.m. time is misleading, but I don't think it is entirely wrong. Does that make sense? I'm going to double check with other states who have multiple time zones to see if my theory is correct.
Yup. I was right. Tennessee is also split between eastern and central time zones and CNN has them listed as closing at 8 p.m. Although I must now grudgingly admit that I was wrong about Tallahassee... Pensacola is in another time zone but Tallahassee is in ours. Sorry. I do occasionally make a mistake... mark you calendars to remember this date.
Yes. I am the mighty teacher. After spending the day packing boxes full of food at Metropolitan Ministries I feel warm and fuzzy and smart... and you wanna know something neat? There really IS always room for Jello. You can stick those little boxes anywhere. One of my students almost discovered for herself exactly where you can stick them when she made some rude comments about the "crappy food that poor people eat."
What's also misleading is the polls do NOT close even at 7. They stop allowing people in at 7. They will process anyone in the doors by 7pm, even if they have to wait inside for 2 hours ...
You are correct sir. The deputy is instructed by the captain to go stand at the end of the line at 7pm. Anyone in front of the deputy is processed, anyone trying to get in line after to deputy is too late.
