Jupiter's Cock!

Considering that waking up early on a Saturday to take a two hour train journey to a five hour tutorial, whilst not the worst situation in the world, isn't normally deemed pleasant, I've had a pretty fantastic weekend. :D

I had a delightful travelling companion, for a start. gargantsurprise  came along because her kindness borders on psychosis. We were supposed to ( Read more... )

Whereabouts was your tutorial held anyway? That seems like a long journey :( Was it London, going by your icon? I am so slow lately :( Sounds like it was worth the travel though :)

I did not know you love Spartacus! People all over my f-list keep coming out of the closet about that, so I'll probably have to watch it eventually. John Hannah is definitely one of the reasons I want to see it ;)

Am quite jealous of you getting to see so many lovely plays :) Out here there isn't even a theatre. There are some in Toronto, obviously, but it's always a pricey journey in.

As I mentioned in the e-mail, I am on AIM all of today so if you want to come online, I am there :)

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to see you on Saturday.

But I shall see you on Spamalot Saturday!

Someone on Tumblr was liveblogging Spartacus: Blood and Sand and I have to say it sounded really hilariously overwrought - Terry Goodkind Does History, if you will - but if it's legitimately good I may have to check it out. You know how I feel about terrible people in love. (Hiiiii, Simon Callow's life partner from Four Weddings and a Funeral! You read Auden and made me cry! Clearly we shall be Great Friends!)

Oh my God, Fry and Laurie Reunited. I forgot to tell you that I have officially gone over to the dark side, as far as shipping real people goes, at least for them - I think it was "it's as if you don't realize how much I love you" that did it, if only because Hugh was so genuinely hurt by something so comparatively minor, and they admire each other and care for each other so much and work off each other so well, and everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. My tinhat will apparently arrive in two to three weeks.

(Also, speaking of THB, someone posted a genderswapped!dream cast that somehow manages to have all my favourite ( ... )

Comment!jacking because I have no internet manners, but bweeee, that History Boys genderswapped!cast delights me unspeakably. They are all so perfect. Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson especially. And Dame Mags! ... I now feel the urge to write genderswapped fic with them in mind.

Commentjacking is entirely acceptable. I know, right? Katie!Dakin! Romola! So perfect! So perfect.

You should write fic. There's already been some Posner/Scripps by rosepetalfall( here and here) but oh, Lintott and Hetty bonding would break my heart in all the best ways... /shameless enabler

Oooh, thank you! I might well do that (in between the... five fics I currently have in progress). I'd have to rewatch the movie first, probably; it's been ages since I've seen it.

Eeee, you're getting to see The History Boys? Lucky thing. And Spamalot! I saw that when it came here, and it was hysterical.

You're right, DanRad is a ridiculous fanboy. I find him entirely adorable, and, rather worryingly, am starting to develop something of a crush on him myself. Which is absurd; the people I fannishly crush on are very rarely younger than forty.

Also, if you happen to be in London before the 5th of March, I am going to be there too, visiting earlwyn~ And it would be awesome and fab to see you, if you happen to be in the area.
