1 bottle dry or semi-dry red wine (I typically use Merlot)
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
10 cloves
1 orange
1. In a sauce pan, heat water, sugar, and cinnamon stick to a boil. Reduce heat to low.
2. Cut orange in half, squeeze juice into water. Insert cloves into orange peel and place the peel in the water. Simmer for roughly 30 minutes.
3. Remove orange peel (with cloves), and pour in wine. Continue to heat on low until the cinnamon stick floats to the top.
4. Pour into mugs and enjoy!
