Its 3.45 in the morning. I have a crapton to do. busy day for the next two weeks. I should be sleeping. What am I doing instead?

Composing. fanfare, brass quintet. Don't know why. Just am.

Its not actually good. I finished it last night (by like 4.30) so less than 2 hours working on it. Its very short, and there are maybe 4 chords in the entire thing. I was mostly just playing with open 5ths and 4ths. Rarely more than 1 or 2 voices doing anything interesting. 1 bar of 1st species counterpoint, 1 bar with mixed 1st/2nd species. Alltogehter, very simplistic, very bare, way too much open 4th/5th, kind of boring. I can still send it to you, if you really really want, but don't expect too much.

i haven't taken theory in a year; don't worry, I've forgotten all about all that technical, "this-is-what-you're-supposed-to-do" stuff :P Therefore, if it sounds cool, it's cool--send away!
