Bleah, sorry to hear about your computer problems. Last year I had a hell of a time removing a worm and ended up using hijackthis along with help from techguy.org forums.

After that I took a few steps from techguy.org to help protect my computer, since then the most serious thing I've had is a few virus and tracking cookies. Nothing major like last time which slowed my computer to a halt.
