parents are always like that... mine do that on an almost minutely basis. they don't appreciate what they have. seriously i bet even if we got straight A's and were pro at EVERYTHING... like literally PERFECT they would bitch about something... haha probably that we're not bad enough. i think it's just a characteristic of parents. i don't like coming home either... but meh... what else can we do since we're "minors"... although really i think the law is dumb. i know people who are 10 years older than us and don't have even half the sense we do. rawr.

You see, parents say they want to know, but the truth is that they only care so far. That's why I don't like telling them anything and just tell it to my dog and God. They don't bitch at me, well Puppychow does at dinner, but that doesn't count. I don't look forward to having my mom home. It usually means I have to do more things now and on a level that exceeds what I should do. And yes Michelle, the law does suck, we so could be off and doing better than many others, but since we're just a "16 year old" in the eyes of the powers that be, that means we have to be grouped w/ the cheerleaders and jocks who don't know how to balance a checkbook or wash dishes.

But in your parents defense, they probably have a lot to do too. It's not all milk and cookies you know. your mom has to deal w/ little kids all day, and your dad is off doing dad things. Not to mention the bills and such.

But that's just how parents are.

i know the feeling.

that's why i wanted my license so badly today...a chance to get away for a little bit, whenever i want. and burn valuable fossil fuels that could have been used to save humanity from extinction.

getting away is WONDERFUL. sometimes i just drive around and listen to music or go down to someplace to get something i don't need... just because it's time AWAY. it's very nice.
