He takes Amelia with him when the Cloister Bell tolls. It's not ideal, but if Prisoner Zero has escaped through the crack in her bedroom wall and is hiding in her house, he doesn't want to take chances.

Their adventures are mad and brilliant, terrifying and dangerous, but nothing scares Amelia Pond more than the crack in her wall once did. One thing he does notice, however she tries to say otherwise, is that sometimes on the Thursdays and the Mondays and the Wednesdays, she gets lonely. He makes a quick stop back to Leadworth, the night after he took Amelia, and picks up Rory.

Fourteen years he spends influencing their lives with his schemes and his adventures and mad ramblings. Yet, they spend just as much time influencing him with their own madness. It's easy once they learn how and the most ironic thing of all is he doesn't even see it coming. Love takes as much as it gives.

When they return to Leadworth fourteen years later to deal with Prisoner Zero, they've all changed.

Across the universe, they call Amelia the Queen with hair made of fire and twin captive suns in her eyes (they say He fought and subdued the suns and then torn out their hearts and gave them as gifts more precious than any stone, leaving the dying shells to burn). They call Rory the King with impenetrable armor of golds and reds with mastery over anything he wields (they say He forged the armor himself from the very ashes of his long dead world and bestowed him his first and most powerful weapon - a sword that bore the name of his family house).

And they call Him countless names across countless times and places. They call him a mad man with a box, the Oncoming Storm, the War God, the Time Lord Victorious. They call him the Nightmare Lord, a trickster, a warrior soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies (they at least got that part right).

The two children of Earth have long known his name, but only Amelia ever dares to speak it, and as she leans close to press her lips against his ear and whisper that forbidden name to command him, blood spills from his eyes like tears and the ugly grin twists his face at the same time he raises one arm.
