It begins with Amy's skirt, her husband and the glass floor of the TARDIS. Had he known prior that Rory was susceptible to dropping important thermal couplings due to being distracted by Amy's skirt, he would've thought twice about asking him to help fix the TARDIS.
He supposes he should've thought ahead, but it wasn't as if he'd had to think of such an occurrence before and if this was what married life did to humans, he was going to reconsider having wedded couples as companions in the future.
Then again, it might just be Rory, but it wasn't as if he'd had many married companions on the TARDIS to make comparisons on.
Nevertheless, he handles the revelation of why Rory dropped the thermal coupling with, what he considers, restraint and dignity.
"Oooooooooooooooh, Rory!"
