Hey guys!! I've been busy reading, and I just finished the first two books in The Hunger Games Series. Mockingjay, book 3, comes out on 24 August this year and upon finishing it, I have tons of theories I'd like to share with those who have read both books, The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. #1 I keep hearing that theory. Never thought twice about them being dead, but that would be interesting. It would bring Mrs. Everdeen back to life, and we could see her how she was ( ... )

#1: The more I think about it ... the more it is possible that they're still alive. I kind of want them not to be, because I would personally be so angry at Mr. Everdeen leaving his family that way... but that would explain why he took such interest in training Katniss... Ooooh, the tangled webs we weave ( ... )

I've come very late to the Hunger Games, so forgive me for posting so late in the game.

I think you have a lot of good theories, however, I haven't seen anything posted about a question I have.

Does anyone else feel like there was another uprising around the time of Haymitch's games? The grown-ups are talking around it it seems, and I think that the fathers of Katniss and gale didn't die accidentally. I do think they are dead, but I think they were made examples of.

I actually hope that Collins does something revolutionary and not tell us if Katniss ends up with anyone. I rather hope that Katniss holds to her "not going to have kids" stance. I just feel like something in her very much changed in the games, and that going back on that would be in the lines of the whole "19 years later" - which I very, very much hated (and turned me off of the whole series).

It will be interesting to see who lives and who dies. Love the books, though. Very thought provoking.

Wow, metyldapryde ... I never thought that far along regarding the first Quarter Quell. You gotta imagine, though, that those who made it to the last 8 (16) and those featured families, like Maysilee Donner's twin sister, and all that... Perhaps the Capital had to snuff out the indignation of 47 kids being slaughtered rather than just 23. (just, right?)

I think she might leave it open, but my feeling is, she's connected Peeta and Katniss before Gale was even a factor, and in the end, she'll go back to Peeta. I think it really depends on how she reacts to the Capital having hold of him. I've read too much fanfiction to really be certain of anything at this point. ;)
