Source code for TrustFlow trust metric

Aug 05, 2003 21:02

Quite a few people have asked for this, so here it is, source code for the trust metric as I'm currently running it. It's nasty and dirty in various ways, but it seems to be getting the job done so far. Improvements welcome ( Read more... )

Did you integrate bram's algorithm?

I think you must be labouring under some sort of misunderstanding, but I can't figure out what the misunderstanding is. I don't see how taking two very different trust metric algorithms and "integrating" them is either possible or desirable.

Entirely possible. I thought bram's algorithm was a tweak to yours, not a completely separate thing...

...as someone else creates a publicly accessible "mirror" implementation, please post it here. I'd try to do it tonight, but I'm exhausted...been trying to use this since I heard of it, but the load has never been low enough for me to succeed. * pouty face *

The informaiton presented seems to go over my head. What is the point of trustflow trust metric? What is meant by closest 50 non-friends?

I tried the main site, and it said it was busy, so try the mirror. I did, and got an almost entirely blank page (just the bits at the top with the lj usernames of, well, me, trustmetrics, and the person hosting the mirror). What was I supposed to get? Is the display browser-dependent? (I tried it in Firebird 0.6 and the latest IE).
