We spent five plus days in Biloxi and have spent one plus days in New Orleans (so far). They're in very different states of (dis)repair, but they both still need lots of people to do manual labor.

So construction is fun. You get to use power tools that make loud noises, and you get to take hammers and pound on wood, making lots of noise in the process. Then, at the end of it all, you get to see this neat new thing that you built ( Read more... )

When we were in Beloit, we decided that we were sick of being cold. When I get cold I tend to stay cold and I don't like being cold at all in the first place. Davi's doesn't want to hear it anymore and doesn't seem to like it when I try to warm up my frozen hands and feet on him. Go figure ( Read more... )

Davi loves Super Mario World. Whenever he spots it, he tries to get into a situaion in which he can play it for a LONG period of time. Now, don't get me wrong, I like Mario too. Generally I really dislike video games, so I'm not sure how Mario got on my good side... And right now it's a really good thing that I like the theme songs.

Right now we're staying with our first couchsurfing acquaintance in St. Paul. Davi had narrowed down a group of potential hosts for me and I decided that I'd like to stay with the older couple.
