The movie was Booth's plan in an attempt to get Bones to relax and feel comfortable again. It wasn't like they were having problems - only the usual pointless arguments that were more for the sake of arguing than anything else - but he knew something had been bothering her in the recent days. And if he was really honest, he couldn't blame her.
As happy-go-lucky as he'd seemed, Booth wasn't anywhere near perfect shape. Their time in the elevator forced him to open his eyes to a lot of things he wasn't exactly ready for, and the nights without Brennan were when they hit the worst. Her bed was mighty comfortable, but the only thing that really soothed him was knowing that she was right there beside him. Booth's a deep sleeper, always had been, but that didn't stop him from waking up in the middle of the night just to check up on her. To listen to her smooth, even breathing; watch the way she went from braniac of the century by day to your average human being tossing and turning ( ... )
