ok so i just finished reading this book called "sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs" by chuck klosterman. and he actually spends an entire chapter talking about the sims and why people play and what the makers motivations were, etc. i'll have to let you borrow it sometime because a lot of what you said he said too.
