Now that I look at it again I can see the stargate thing. My family shares the book, so we just get which ever is cheapest, as soon as possible after the release. Then there's a fight over who gets to read it first, it's good to be a fast reader.
Not running out and buying it, mainly because I'm only now reading book four and will need some catching up to do. Sorry, not a HUGE fan here, I can't sit and reed all 7 books in two days like the rest of the lot can. But I'm sure I'll get it eventually and read it.
You're talking to someone who dodged and evaded spoilers for Supernatural, Lost, Heroes, CSI and just about any other major tv show out there while trying to contact members :D I can't seem to get past book 6 so I'm hoping that no one posts spoilers for that book while we're discussing book 7.
I will be at the library at 9am, ready to buy my (reserved) copy. A few years ago, you had to wait a few weeks for the HP book to arrive in Italian bookstores... now we get the books (english version, not the translation) the same day as the rest of the civilized world.
After book 7, I will live on fanfic.
My favourite HP book is "HP & the order of the phoenix", because it's darker and more adult than the others...
Me too :) With the last book I made the mistake of preordering it via Amazon, and then had to wait 2 weeks (!!) while every bookshop in town had the windows full of brand new HBP copies. The money saved wasn't worth the suffering.
I'm kinda terrified of the big 7th book of doom though, I've a feeling it will be a major disappointment, what with most of my favourite characters being on JKR black list. I'll probably sit on it for a few days gathering the courage to read and see ^//^
I loved OoTP, and I'm probably one of the few who didn't hate Dolores, I found her quite funny. But my fav is HBP, mostly because of the much needed character developement going on down in the dungeons.
I did order it from amazon but caved and bought it from Feltrinelli. When my amazon copy arrived, I sold it to a friend :P :P I also remember that I was reading the book the very same day it came out... and then Studioaperto spoiled me for who died later in the book. I cried a little.
I liked Dolores in all her petty cruelty and self-righteousness. She is deliciously cruel.

Yes! thank you JK Rowling! but I still think the slytherins have so much potential! I:hearts;Draco.
Spoiled by Studioaperto o_0 That's depressing... With me it was a troll in a slash community, who made tons of posts spoiling...everything, more or less. Grr. I'm thinking of making some nice "on hiatus reading DH" banners and stay away from LJ while reading this time.
Exactly! Deliciously cruel, a bit like Cruella DeVil in 101 Dalmatians, just less classy ;)
I:hearts;Draco. Squee! Mee too! That's why I'm terrified of the 7th book, Draco and Snape are my favs, and I worry one (or both) of them won't survive it. Sniff. I loved the way she wrote Draco in the Tower scene, I hope JKR won't simply drop that plotline. Like you said, the Slyths have so much potential, I just wish she'd stop focusing on the growling monsters in Harry's gut (yay, no more of that!) and give them a chance.
