I usually spend hours on amazon trying to find the perfect book, but in the bookstore it's like I'm a child going for the prettiest thing there. :(

Only literally, and only when I know nothing about it and have never heard of the author, ie. cover art works when I'm in a bookstore or randomnly surfing.

no, I don't. Usually I have to read a few pages to understand if it's my kind of book.
But I admit that a nice cover (or a nice "size"/"format") makes reading nicer.
