I'll Write You a Song and I Hope That You Won't Mind

Feb 22, 2005 21:37

Give me music. I'm on a quest to broaden my musical horizons and I need your help. Suggest to me any artists or songs that you think are worthy enough for me to listen to. I want EVERYONE who reads this to suggest at least one artist/song, that's easy enough right? Ready go!

Theses are artists and their albums:

Radiohead (EVERYTHING!...I'm listening to Hail to the Thief at the moment)

The Strokes (I prefer Room on Fire, but Is This It is also good)

The Stills (Logic Will Break Yout Heart)

I have others, but you'll spend enough time on these. =p

Ooh, and you could try some classical. I prefer Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Beethoven, Bach...

as Leah said, try some classical... why not? here are some specifics in that category (all the composers she said are great, but here are some particular pieces):

Shostakovich - Festive Overture, Symphony No. 5, Symphony No. 9

Ravel - Daphnis and Chloe <3 but that's kind of weird... it's impressionist so it's a little "out there" I guess... also by Ravel: his String Quartet is amazing ( ... )
