He felt pain. Excruciating, burning pain, and it came from his leg. As much as he tried to press on it with his hands, it wouldn't stop. Just as quickly, one of his arms was experiencing the same thing. He could hear his voice screaming, pleading for something, but it was hard to hear what it was saying. There was a rushing noise in his ears keeping the words unintelligible.
Suddenly, his eyes were blinded by a bright light. He could see a flash of metal, something large - a suit of armor? He reached out ahead of himself, clenching his fist, also metal. The same hand that had been hurting him so badly before was cold now, he could feel it against his chest.
Another bright flash, this time blue, and the smell of electricity. The very earth before him rose up in spikes, jumping out away from him. There was a bit of weight on his hand, now; when he looked, there was a blade there... but his hand was underneath it? Was it strapped on somehow? No, it was more than that, he knew.
Another flicker of blue, but this time, it was cloth. He was surrounded by people in blue uniforms, in some sort of office. He clearly wasn't wearing blue, no way. Blue wasn't as cool as red. A glimpse of a man, tall with dark hair, and he felt a biting anger well up in his throat, heard himself yell something, watched as the man chuckled at his anger.
He felt the weight of something in his left hand, felt the cool metal of something smooth and rounded. When he looked down, he held a pocketwatch, some sort of creature emblazened on the front. His thumb clicked it open; it seemed a normal watch, but on the inside of the lid, something was scratched in.
