He has not seen his own hair in seventeen years. It was starting to gray, he knew, little hairs here and there turning white. Age and constant stress (From both the Empire and his wife; they were in love but loved to test each other) did that to humans. He traded in his Jedi robes for fitted slacks and a cloak with padded shoulders- he had to admit he’d lost some muscle and gained some weight in his exile.
His facial tattoos weren’t cultural (not his culture, anyway), but rather tributes to his fallen family. All in yellow ink (for Quinlan), five (Siri, Qui-Gon, Boga, Padmé, Anakin) diamonds (Luminara, Barriss) dripping down his chin. He wore green lenses over his eyes as a final precaution.
Excellent take on an AU with them together, implicating that they had a prickly, strongly emotional union. I really liked the above quote, as it integrates visuals into your story and we get a sense of the passage of time and the ( ... )
