if you plan to use that guitar with cleans, i suggest you get it wired for 2 nine volts in series while you have it in the shop
stock emgs suck for cleans

Thanks for the suggestion though, because I would have needed to know that if it wasn't already done. This guitar belonged to my dad and then my brother so it's all modified and just how I want it.

I have a RG-470......I hate those damn guitars. I want to replace the pickups but it wouldn't really matter because the body is designed so shitty. Tis better than what you had though.

I believe my pick ups are the EMG sa/sa/81 package pickups, and they are damn hott. I love them.
I'm not sure the model of the guitar it is though, I'd have to ask my dad. It's a nice guitar and it's one of the old higher priced discontinued model. I dig it big time. If you want maybe we could jam before I get it switched to left handed and you could decide weather or not you like it.
