i spent a majority of my philosophy class stating my views on why i don't believe in god and creating the largest stir in college history. i haven't seen that many people staring daggers at me in a while and at one point or another almost every hand in the class was raised to attempt to argue with me. i felt a little guilty blatantly insulting

However...there is a God. What form it takes is indeterminate. I like to think of it as pure love, nothing more, nothing less. That, and it is the energy that flows through you, me, and the whole entire universe.
God never gave a set of morals for humans to abide by. Religion, and all of its tenets, are a man made creation, and therefore imperfect. Which explains all the wars, hatred, and ignorance which has been spouted in the name of God, but is really a disservice to its very concept.
By applying said morals to God, you're giving Christianity and every other religion way too much fucking credit.

Personally, I think putting a name to the things that you described is pretty pointless. Pure love can be pure love without the idea of a God behind it.

that being said... i feel as if there is some kind of creator. not "god", like the christian god, but someone started it all. i believe something created the universe and science is what makes it work... yeah, yeah, yeah... once its proven that a big bang started it i will believe it, but i like the idea of someone creating the world more than that, and we dont know right now. obviously there's the two sides to the argument "how could matter be created out of nowhere", and "if god created the universe, who created god", which we have no answer for either. all of that being said... if there is a god i do not fear, nor respect him. :)
