you're "not supposed" to take pictures in Sudan either...the only time I was ever asked to put my camera away was when we were going by the President's house. And in the markets, but with the markets it was more because of there being lots of people and many people not knowing what cameras do...like this one woman I took a picture of, she was kinda freaked out.
