I think it's around 30 bucks for the paid account to start, and if you want icons over the amount they give you, you can buy then a la cart. At $1 each. A buck. Per icon. For the amount of icons I have on my LJ that would be $298 dollars. Uh, no.

There are free accounts yes, but, there's a lot of limits on them. You'll have to read through the info yourself.

InsaneJournal is run by a guy in South Florida with his own money. I'd much rather support him. :)

I'm already up on IJ and DW under the name ozma914 ... but although I crosspost everything on both, I haven't seen any activity to speak of on IJ for months. The one problem I have with it is that I can't seem to get any photos to post there.

and yeah, IJ kinda reminds me of DeadJournal, which i had for a while too.

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall DeadJournal. I'm sticking around on LJ, but I'll always crosspost on DW and usually on IJ -- if nothing else, I can consider it a kind of backup.

and yeah, my new DW will be my back-up, but i probably won't cross-post.

I looked around IJ quickly and I didn't find anything that would actually make me move there for some reason. I already have a DW account and even though I am not using it all that much, mainly a backup for lj, I think I'm going to keep that one. LJ remains my main spot though.

Aside from Facebook, Twitter (which I might delete) and Instagram, that is.

i'll be deleting my IJ once i confirm i have all my icons in other places (like my photobucket/icons LJ)

and we're probably not friends on DW, as i just made my account earlier today. is your name the same on DW?

It is now. I decided to drop my paid svc on LJ and change to a paid acct on DW so I sprung for a name change too.
