Hey! *waves back*

I'm glad to hear you're all doing well, especially that your brother and his son have recovered from this thing (or whatever else). :) My uncle is currently in the hospital with "flu-like" symptoms. He was tested for the virus but didn't get the results back yet. The last we heard they said he was resting comfortably and not on a ventilator or anything like that (which is good as he's got a lot of underlying health issues).

Apart from that, we're all doing well. My job is mainly a desk one - my field work finished up around the second week in March. No idea if that project is all done (although even if not, it's on a hiatus for the time being). Anything else that needs to be done is from home. It's pretty quiet, but I'm using the extra time to do some projects I'd been meaning to start for ages, so... not really complaining! :)

Thanks and same to all of you! *hug*

hopefully your uncle's results are negative for this thing, and he's able to go home soon.

my desk job is paperwork - we're a third-party middleman company, and the only person i saw this past week when i was in was the UPS guy who had my paycheck. i saw him for like a half a second, LOL

the funny thing is, back a few months ago, i said i'd love to get paid, but not actually work - sleep in, goof off on my laptop, crochet, and watch tv shows. however, this isn't what i meant!! XD

*hugs*

Ah good to know things are okay (sort-of)

I'm still living as if nothing has happened because my life so far is the same (I don't go out or leave my bed if I don't have work or riding day)
The only thing that makes it noticeable are the buses and stuff, shops, the amount of work that has dropped dramatically and the fact city is fuller with bikes than ever and actually the two cruise ferries looking sad at the harbor (usually there's one on none as they get out on the run).

So I'm kinda waiting out Easter to buy things (I kinda planned for camera lens that I've been saving up for but stores are closed on weekends only groceries are open) so yeah, I need a vest but also need to wait for first workday

i put some money onto a debit card so i can buy stuff online if there's things i want (cause online site don't take cash.... LOL) but grocery shopping is certainly an adventure now!

Now my public transport rides have become quite a fun thing to do. We got to wear masks like two months late but now as the june comes closer and the ''crisis'' mode will be turned off the restrictions will stay. I somehow don't really believe people will actually take this enough seriously *shrugs*

oh i KNOW people don't take this seriously. when i popped in a supermarket this afternoon, i saw a kid and adult (mom and daughter?) who didn't have masks on. one of my neighboring towns/municipalities is very snooty and full of entitled Karens who probably won't wear masks most places. *sigh*

Hey! Good to know you're doing well.
I'm good too, sort of. I've been working from home for a month now. In France, basically everything is closed and we can't go outside except for grocery shopping, going to the med, walking around for a bit (only for one hour and one kilometer around the house) and going to work for those who have to. And we must have an attestation every time we go out.
This situation scares me a lot too. I've only been outside four times since the lockdown, even if the weather is sooooo nice at the moment! It's really hard, especially since I live alone, but it's the only way to fight so... So far, noone from my family has been sick and I hope it will stay that way. I think what's scariest is that it's an invisible enemy and we don't know how long it will last. At this point, I just hope that I'll be able to celebrate my birthday with my family in July...

this exactly!

glad you and yours are doing well. i hope younger daughter will be able to go back to college at the end of august! (meanwhile, she wants to actually see her boyfriend in person, not just a vid on the phone. i can't blame her.)
