I'm so glad you found a good area to move to! I can imagine how tough that can be sometimes, though it was good you had a little experience with the area.
covid - eep! I'm so glad your case was mild! That's pretty much how mine was last Oct. And when I got the bad sinus infection in Dec I thought oh no, I hope it's not covid again - but I tested negative for that at urgent care. I had some allergies bugging me a couple of weeks ago but I switched back to my old nasal spray (ENT doctor had given me something else for the first sinus infection after covid and I'd just kept using it) and it cleared right up. Phew!
allergies act up a bit now and then, but it's due to all the dust in the house. I've been trying to be more proactive at dusting though had to get myself a dust mask so I won't inhale all those nasty dust bunnies, LOL
yes, a "little" experience. but everyone out here is friendly, so there's that. it's quite a bit more laid back than the Philly area we well. :D
the interesting thing about my covid was that my antihistamines actually helped with the congestion and my stuffy nose, so there was that!
we have air purifiers in the house now - one on the first floor and one on the second floor, both in rooms where our Arthur kitty spends most of his time - he loves our bed. he has asthma, has meds, and is actually doing pretty good. eww, dust bunnies. we have those too. we also have a roomba on each floor. XD (we have three floors, our home office is on the top floor.)
that's good! :D when I was with my ex the area we lived in was about 50 or so miles north of NYC. more spread out and the people were a lot more laid back too. Wish I hadn't left the area but if I had stayed with him I know I would have been miserable!
awesome those did the trick! I had some otc allergy sinus meds that helped mine, though nothing seemed to really help much when I had the bad sinus infection last Dec-Jan. took 2 different antibiotics and medrol dose pack to finally knock it out.
we've got some too! had a large, old one in our basement that just needed the filter replaced. brought that one up and put it on in my bedroom, and then a smaller one for the home office. aww, poor kitty, I'm glad he's doing pretty good despite the asthma.
i know, right? i was kinda surprised they worked, but allergies are not the same as a virus. so i was glad they did work. :D
Arthur (and his mate Molly) were rescued from a hoarding house back in January of '21, and he had a number of health issues, including an upper respiratory infection. once all that was cleared up, he was able to be adopted with Molly. they came to our house in June of '21, and i guess it was about a year later that Arthur started having issues again, which was diagnosed as asthma. both him and Molly are about 5 years old or so now. :D
