Since 2001, I've happily used LiveJournal to express my inner ramblings and to connect with friends, old and new, from online and off. I even bought a permanent account because I enjoy the service so much

I am a friend of kproche and bovil. I found you at the Vintacon group where I was wandering around lusting after the kind of wine that was easy to find when I lived in California, but has become a persistent fantasy now that I live in Thailand.
You may or may not remember me as the crazy person who made purple velvet fezzes for all of the GoH's at the last BayCon. I have lately been trying to prop up my links with the Bay Area and Queer-friendly-hood as a way of dealing with the culture shock.
I would be gratified if you would allow me to be a friend, and I will friend you so you can look at my lately-neglected journal if you wish. I leave tomorrow for southern Thailand, but intend to get back into the posting swing when I return to Chiang Mai late next week.
I'm the girl in the grey floral skirt who was twisting and mashed-potatoing with y'all this weekend (loved the behive!).
I've been to a few costuming events, and I'm trying to get more involved in all the fun. I just started a costuming LJ (hoping to add more content soon!), and would love to be considered for your friends list.
I was in AGF years ago & participated in swaps, so there's a tiny chance you might know me from there... mostly, I came upon your journal through darkthreads community, and I was happy to see another serious artist my age who has similar interests.
I understand your need to be selective though, & I won't be hurt if you don't feel safe adding me. Please check out my geeky journal! :)
hi! i don't know you, but i would love to be added to your friends. i'm a corsetmaker in los angeles, and i'll be teaching a few classes at costume college this year. i found you by searching 'costumers guild' and it's so nice to see people around my age instead of twenty-two (not that being twenty-two is bad or anything). i love your collection of icons: i moved here from boston about two years ago and recognize the edward gorey house... one of the things i miss about massachusetts. anyhoo, add me if you like. :)
