It was 17 years ago today, now, and increasingly feels like something that happened to someone else. That's probably a good thing, and I'm certainly glad that the pain has diminished; I just wish my other memories hadn't diminished in the same proportion. He doesn't seem as vivid to me now, and I regret it, but... maybe there's no way to win this
