See what your options are for the sports electives. When I got lost in northern Kyoto, I wandered onto a university campus that had horses and a kyudo range.

Don't think I'll find that on a campus in Chiba though. It would be extremely cool to get into a traditional sport though. It wouldn't be expensive on a campus I'm attending, I imagine...
