I'm thinking of starting a online business and I just wanting feedback from others if they think it's a good idea and weather they would buy the items
( Read more... )
I put a note up on my facebook where all my rat friends could read it but no one has gven me any feedback. I'm going to a rat show on saturday though so I'm going to ask people there as well.
It sounds like a great idea! Do research in forums and groups of rat owners! :) I'm sure you've thought of that already. I don't know if I'd buy a lot of stuff, since I don't own any more pets (sniffle!) and I have no friends close by who do, but I would definitely consider purchasing gifts from your business to be shipped! xoxoxoxo
idea sounds good but you would really need to look very carefully into costs - suppliers, advertising - your profit margin to make it viable.
Could you run itonline - set up a website - if so you'd also need to work out postage and packing costs - or do they have stalls atthe shows? If so - how much to have one?
I have thought about doing the craft fares with my Xmas decs (all profits going to the cat charity I got M&M from)but will also need to do similar research.
Can you maybe makeup samples of what you would offer and take them to shows for feedback - or do a test website with photos etc to get a better idea of interest
I've got a load of suppliers researched so far and I'm going to make some sample hammocks over the weekend. There are stalls at rat shows I think my local club does it for £20 for the day. I've made a basic site up using zen cart to see how that kind of site works out with a inbuild store http://www.beautifulstrange.net/ratpackages/ of course I would buy my own url for it. I got a bit of feedback from a rat forum which has given me extra ideas to make some other packages. Which helps but had over 90 people view the thread and only 3 people so far have commented so that's a big of a downer. Going to a show on saturday so will talk to people there.
