I have a hard time with change. With endings. With the inevitable passage of time. I'm glad I can remain in touch with you at DW - I'm not leaving here just yet, but it's definitely no longer my home. and that feels just p lain weird after 16 years of being the first site I looked at every day, and one which I kept rechecking throughout the day.

I'm logging in one last time to sweep up, make sure it's all exported to the other place, and to look around at the places I used to live and visit around here. I remember panicking in 2007 when the first sale happened, and now that was 10 years ago and here we are. I'll see you over at DW.

Totally understand your decision. LJ has been barely more than an RSS feeder for years now, even before the Russians started messing around. You have my email if you ever want to get together. I remember to check Twitter only occasionally, and mostly exist on the Book of Faces and Ravelry.

I paid for the use of bookit to download everything en masse.

No facebook for me. It's so goddamn stressful. I know I'm missing a lot of people's lives but I haven't found any way to use it that didn't make me anxious and miserable.
