Such a great quote

There are precious few at ease
with moral ambiguities,
So we act as though they don't exist.

I'M GOING TO SEE WICKED FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

I AM THAT EXCITED!

i'm not sure if i'm going to try very very hard not to sing along in my head and enjoy it, especially since it's not the original cast, OR if it would be FUN to sing along in my head. if it is, then i need to prep myself on some of the more boring chorusy type songs. (no one mourns the wicked, something bad, etc.' )

what do you think?

It's hard to say. I was just kind of thinking about this idea though, or rather the difference between Classical Music and Pop music. In Pop Music, you would definitely want to sing along and probably dance, but in Classical Muisc, you would only want to recieve from the music in a cerebral, analytical way. Broadway, in some ways, is a cross between Classical and Pop Music. I love to listen to Wicked and sing along, and to enjoy it for it's familiarity. I don't think it would be possible to not sing some of the songs in my head if I saw it Live. Seeing Wicked Live (I haven't really decided if I will or not) would be so wierd because I am so familiar with the songs, but there's still so much about it (the story and all the visual elements) that I don't know.

I love "Goldie's Last Day" more than ever now, and I wish I could listen to it when I get home from work, but I can't... someone has stolen our cd and adopted it as their own ( ... )
