Oh I loved the voices on this! Death in young children in Egypt and other places where due, to small pox, typhoid, mumps, measles, chicken pox, various types of plaque. Lots of grains equal lots of rats, equal the spread of contagious diseases. There are not sure if the Great Ramses, survived small pox, or it killed him in old age. But his face is pock marked badly. DNA studies show that they out bred to people other than close brothers and sisters. Remember they are farmers, they would notice that close breeding causes unwanted birth defects. But yes, they did inter marry. Just thought you might like to know.

Thank you very much much for your comments. They are greatly appreciated. Indeed, there were more than enough diseases to wipe out infants in ancient times. I'm glad you enjoyed my dialogue-- it's my favorite element in any story.

Could have sworn I'd commented on this... Losing my mind in this heat.

Anyhooo,
“Oh, bleedin’ ‘ell, I’m wearin’ a skirt!”

*snort* I'm of a similar mind when any man wears a dress or skirt.

Know what? I'm in awe of your imagination. If you're not already writing original fiction, you should. Really. Well done! *applause*

Incoherently yours...

Thanks very much for commenting! I was always fascinated by the (true) story of Sekenenre (I'm an armchair Egyptologist) I can point with pride to the burgeoning research I did for this story, but I think ultimately it was a mismatch. The lack of feedback sort of proved that! Not to worry though! I'm already moving on to my next work with a vengeance. But I agree, the thought of Jack in a loincloth was toothsome! *hugs* *fans you*

Once again, this is a bloody brilliant piece of work. Your research makes me swoon with envy, but I am even more envious of your ability to work that research into a coherent story. Again I am half in love with Jonah and half aghast at him. The interplay between Jack and the gods is priceless!

Thanks for reading and reviewing! *bows* *worships* I enjoy working bits of real history into stories for historical appeal, but this story may have become a bit complex. Our range of stories at Pirategasm is so broad and rich-- something for everyone! Who knows, Jonah may eventually work his way into your good graces. I keep trying to talk him into a yummy threesome with Will and Jack, and he just won't cooperate!!

Oh my... Wonderful sequel to a wonderful fic! I loved the Egyptian references and Jonah's speeches! And you intrigued me from the beginning with Jack's undecidedness. I pitied him because he was struggling between Will and James and couldn't get out. Poor Jack! And poor James, at that! I'm very glad they found each other at the end, though.

Major worship for the scene in which "Jonah" tries to seduce James. James standing firm and making a scene afterwards was so brilliant! And the end, where he threatens to shove the necklace up the prince's arse, made me giggle out loud!

I adore this universe! And I daresay Captain Jonah Sparrow is the most brilliant, authentic and intriguing original character in the history of PotC fanfiction - or fanfiction in general.

*bows and worships*

Thank you very much for commenting! *bows* *offers rum* I'm relieved you enjoyed this story as it wandered so far into supernatural/historical themes. I wanted to capture some of Jonah's pain in this story. I think we might see more of Ahmose in the future. *ponders* Your comments are greatly appreciated. :) By the way, I took your advice and archived the "When Shadows Fall" series under my memories. I accidently lost all the comments in the first chapter, but live and learn! If you check it out, make sure the drop down box is set to "journal." Otherwise, the first chapter may appear at the end! *hugs*

*takes swig of rum* Mmmh! Rum is always greatly appreciated! Oh, by the way... *remembers having some brandy in the kitchen* Whee!

Ahem. Where was I?

I'm intrigued about the prospect of more Ahmose! Weaving the past and the present together like you do it is brilliant!

I'm glad you archived the fic! Will try to save and read it within this week! :) *hugs back* Yay, hugs!

Thanks for the hug! Whew! Found that I left one installment out of the When Shadows Fall entries-- got them fixed now. Remember to sort them by "journal"-- I hope it makes sense now (and anyone will tell you that I'm no good when it comes to sense! ;)
