All of that effort for nothing! Yet, Jack is a very smart man. He knows there always hope. Also, I forgot when I posted the story to include a brief dialogue between James and the doctor-- it's up now, if you'd care to read it. Thanks so much for following.
I'm supposed to be studying for the US History test I have in a few minutes. ...But this is a much better use of my time, don't you think? Anyway, absolutely fabulous. I love your crafty, scheming Jack, and the fact that it's all for love. Poor dear just can't make up his mind as to who he wants. Sure, James is stability, but he's still in love with Will. I just about cried at:
In that moment, words from the past echoed in Jack’s mind: In my heart, I buried you. And something inside Jack began to cry, too, for he wondered if Will could ever really belong to him again.
Would have, too, except that I'm sitting in plain view in the school library.
Always loving your work.
(p.s. - my friend burned me a copy of the RotK soundtrack, so now I've got all the lovely Renee Fleming! (not to mention the rest of the music, which is just fab altogether, but that's not the point.) makes the numerous drives to and from school a lot more tolerable, I'll tell you that.)
Thank's for your great feedback. I forgot to put in the brief dialogue between James and the doctor at the very beginning of the chapter, so I fixed that, if you'd care to read it. And isn't Renee Fleming just sensational on that CD? That music inspired the whole "When Shadows Fall" series. And you reading naughty pirate stories at school! What are we ever going to do with you? *hugs and dances*
A-ha. .:: reads ::. .:: uses as excuse to read whole chapter over again ::. Hee. Well, that did help to explain why the two of them were abed, though my clever little mind pieced it together anyway. (Mostly little, moderately clever ;> ) Fab, of course.
And, why yes, yes she is. Small wonder she's the most famous soprano of our time. (And small wonder she inspired such incredible stuff!)
Babe, not only do I read naughtypiratestories at school, I -write- naughtypiratestories at school. What exactly do you think that Red Convertible thing was? My mind is -always- going... and never in the direction the teachers want it to be. (Though to be honest, yours is one of the maybe... two, three stories I'll follow while at school. Other ones I'll brush off till I get home.)
...Daim, I've got to write me some PtT before I go mad. It's been what... more than two weeks? ...!
Curse you, woman! Just when I'm beginning to think there's a bit of light for my OTP, you go and make Will cry over Jonah. Poor Jack! And poor petunias!;)
Oh, I think there's still lots of hope for Tenacious Jack. He never gives up until he gets what he wants. And when I wrote the bit about Jonah getting crowned by the flowerpot, I smiled and thought of you-- somehow, I just knew you'd enjoy that!! :)
AKA the Jamesian Petunia Abuse Scandal. Yes, I must admit, it inspired a little smile from me. Not that I like to see Jonah hurt just . . . well, come to think of it, maybe I _do_ like to see Jonah hurt--at least just a bit.;)
I love your characterization, specially Jack's. The way he tries to plan everything to get Will back...I must admit I was cheering for him, since Jack/Will is forever ingrained in my brain as my OTP, but Will's love for Jonah despite all his troubles also has its appeal. The ending with the petunia was too funny, can't wait 'till the next part!
Thank you-thank you-thank you for following. Poor Will is certainly torn, isn't he? What with two conniving Sparrows chasing him. Very happy you're enjoying it! *hugs*
i told myself it would be silly to comment on every chapter, since i'm reading them all at once...as you can see, that kinda fell through. anyway, this is the first chapter i read of your fics, and i can see again why i became completely hooked - even in the middle of a story, your word grab the attention and interest of a reader and holds the person in thrall until they give in and read the rest of it. now i'm sad because i know i'm coming up on the end...well, i'll just enjoy while it lasts!
Feel free to put a comment anywhere you like. When the work is in progress, your comments help me shape the plot-- and I love stories with plot. The ficlet "The Power of Two" is a bit unusual for me because it's a complete work in five-hundred words. Oddly enough, it was my favorite story to write.
