Though James was certain Jack was not among the mob, he could not help but search for a familiar red head scarf. Isn't that just the way it is? Good little detail.

"He won’t be carryin’ a handful of chicken feathers.” Okay, I know that's serious, I know Jack's being dead somber, but it still made me laugh out loud, because darnit, chicken. It's just... so... bizarre. Love it.

And... Oh, oh. Oh, sporking spork. Your Barbossa gived me shivers, AGAIN. And your Pintel and Ragetti are right on the dot. Gah, you're too amazing. Too too amazing. Freaking mastermind.

Somehow, the phrase "chicken feathers" just seem to fit Jack's bizarre way of thinking. I'm still trying to find my stride with Barbossa. I have a few days off now and need to clear my thoughts so I can concentrate on him more fully. Back to the POTC DVD for more character study!!

Yes... it fits. Crazy Jack.

Well so far you've been portraying Barbossa incredibly well. I just watched the movie last night (well, um, I kinda do every night -- but not all of it. And I watched all of it last night.) and I was struck by how much the actual character of Barbossa matched the way you wrote him and the image/personage that that writing created in my mind.

In other words... j00 r0x0rs.
(okay, somebody swat my inner l33t before I make an incredible arse of myself... too late)

Have fun being a couch potato doing character studies!

Oooh I'm getting the shivers from the supernatural stuff! Another great chapter.

Thanks very much! I'm hoping the supernatural creepies work alright since the whole movie was based on them! Of course, I'm trying to work true historical elements in, too. Your feedback is much appreciated.

" He was as dour and moldy as ever"

I could see that being true...

Another wonderful chapter!

Thank you for reviewing. I especially appreciate it since I'm new at writing Barbossa. Dour and moldy is exactly the way I envision him!
