One Christmas Eve I found myself in Zacatecas, Mexico, with the understanding that markets and restaurants may be closed on Christmas.  I asked the owner of my hostel where to find groceries, anticipating a desperate situation, and he sent me to a local Christmas Market set up in one section of the city that was supposed to have food.  Instead, I ( Read more... )

this is interesting to me. I went to mexico for Christmas Eve a few years ago and I didnt see anyone buying toys or celebrating. In mexico City, definately not and when I got to this mountain town just north of Taxco there was definately no gift giving, no trees, ect. Just prayer and this big hike up this huge hill that my fat butt was so tired after climbing. Interesting perspectives
