Yeah, I say it again! I hate seasonal allergies. I know, allergy season is over. What does that leave me with? SINUS INFECTION!!!! Which then slowly drains down my throat and gives me an infection there next. BLEAH! I tried tomreedtoon's idea and tilted my head back in the shower, letting the water rinse up my nostril. It made a nice effect, and I can ( Read more... )

Far be it from me to reduce your joy from an unclogged nostril, but how many times before this have I mentioned doing this? It is the one thing I start spouting off about whenever someone mentiones a clogged nose or sinus headaches. Very much the way that Jack Fenton perks up and starts blathering about ghosts.

You've had a long time to buy a Water Pik and get that Grossan tip for it, or the new Grossan bottle with the saline powder packs, or the version they sell at Walgreen's in the nose and throat section. And I know some of you are grossed out about pouring stuff in your nose, and having it come out your other nostril and your mouth and into the sink. And lots of stuff WILL come out. But the point is, it's no longer in you.

If you were a woman, you wouldn't be upset at that monthly inconvenience, and this would be a minor thing at best. And the nice thing is, once those passages are cleaned regularly, the cilia in your nose can help keep your nose clear for longer periods.

Actually, the past year, money has been VERY tight. I knew back in January that I had to save up to pay off my income taxes from this year, and I still owed from 2004 taxes, so I didn't have any spare money. I've been floating an extra month of cable bill, and keeping them just barely off my back. This paycheck this week will probably vanish pretty quick to go to pay off that cable bill and others, but I am hoping to have a little extra for the Pik. I still need to mail my sister the DVD I promised to send her three months back, that she actually sent me money for, that's how tight it has been. I am finally paid off with the IRS, and now I will finish paying of the bills I have been floating, and will finally be a little flush on my payday. So I can start looking at getting the little things that I have wanted, and saving up for a mode of vehicular transportation. Wee!
