I really really really tried to find that MAD TV skit where they get all hepped up about "WIND STORM '98!" but it just doesn't seem to be out there.

i'm not a mad tv fan .. admittedly i only watched a few episodes when it first came out so it might have improved but these days my attention span is so low i can't even watch 4 minute you tube videos without sitting there thinking "dam!! this is long!!! hurry up!!!!" :)

I guess it's one of those things, then. They only did this skit twice - once for KILLER BEE SWARM '97! when their on-the-street reporter was covering a crime scene and bee flew by her, and another time when the same reporter was covering an auto accident and a breeze blew a leaf down the street and suddenly it was WIND STORM '98!

So there, now you have the gist of it. The gist is nigh.

well see your description of it made me laugh, but if i watched it i might not. things often seem funnier in my head, then when i say them it's all like *cricket chirp*

Anyone who says, "the end is nigh," is just asking for an ass beating.

you're right and a perfect example of why my idea of getting to hit one person a day would work perfectly. people would learn quickly to keep their gobs shut. :)

In Mississippi, they're Weather Terrorists. Every time we get a snow prediction, Wal Mart is packed with people hoarding food for the White Death. Then, we get an inch which melts the next day.

ha. the white death. :D
we don't get many predictions for snow around these parts, it's usually flood frenzies, the weather people are always trying to tell you to stay in your house unless you absolutely positively HAVE TO GO OUT!!!! and even then they suggest you wear a life jacket if you do.

and then it drizzles.
