Buy pants that fit your crotch area (whatever you feel comfortable with) but buy them larger then you need so you can take them in. It's pretty much impossible to take in the crotch, so that's what you want to work off of ( ... )

Um. No. If you're buying clothes that are too small for you, buy larger clothing. There's really no way to make a waist larger unless there is either extra fabric in the seam (which in most ready to wear clothing there is not) or to add more fabric...

I'm afraid I don't understand what your asking. You need clothing with a larger waist, but a smaller--?

lol No, no, no... I had asked how to take in my pants, but was complaining about my clothes being too small, which obviously doesn't make sense.

Actually I have a lot of clothes already in my posession that I'd like to expand as they are too small, but because I have a real hard time finding pants that fit me right anyway I wanted to know if there was something I could do [for future reference] in my common problem areas when buying pants. i have a short waist so any pants that aren't hip huggers are gigantic around my butt, or are too long or not fitted enough around my thighs. I just have big hips and scronny legs lol which makes it hard to find nicely fitted pants....maybe it's just me, i don't know.
