Natural Gas?

My television viewing (Keith-Rachel-Anderson-Jon-Stephen) is being swamped by natural gas ads. Can any one give me the scoop/point me in the direction of information about natural gas as a gasoline replacement? My tv seems to think it's the best idea EVER and the we need to do it NOW. Well, one thing I discovered when I wrote a paper awhile back is this: We're running out of natual gas too. The more customers that come online the faster that will happen. Also much depends on how it's burned. Carbon can and does continue to be added to the atmosphere.

The only real solution is something that is zero emission.

With current technology however that's a bit rough for long trips, though.

Yeah, I'm at least looking forward to hybrids that you can plug in, so that when your just driving to work and such you can go gas free and then only use gas when you can't plug in.
