That’d been the beginning of a long and stiff, awkward but getting less so, scary at times and almost too easy at others, reconciliation. Eduardo had found himself on the other end of his usual insistent vying for Mark’s attention, humoring Mark when he could stand him and ignoring him when he couldn’t, and it had been refreshing enough - startling enough - to divert his focus from their friendship, as such. Fill Part Two: The Aftermath of Shattered Perception (1/?) {Moving into NSFW}

That was before. Before, Eduardo realizes now, was made up of delusions and half-lies to himself, because all Mark’s doing is checking his fucking e-mail, fingertips pressing all the right buttons on his phone, not even looking up as he scoffs at Eduardo’s questions about the seriousness of what might be in his inbox, but Eduardo is losing it. His fingers. Just, the way they move; and he must not be as good as he thought at being discreet about his frustration, because the fourth time he shifts on the sofa, Mark finally does look at him, fond exasperation (his default expression half the time around Eduardo) on his face.

“You make the most noise watching a movie of probably anyone I’ve ever met, Wardo. Can you just chill for a second so I can reply to this last one, or is my attention really always your premier need?”

“C’mon, Mark. You’ve got to be forgetting about Dustin. He went on a dino rampage over Jurassic Park three times

Maybe it crushes Mark’s hands a little, all that weight pressed back on them, or maybe he’s finally realized that his fingers have literally nowhere else to go now they’ve hit the edge of his slacks, but suddenly Mark is fidgeting almost worse than Eduardo was, and just turning enough to glance at the DVD menu, Eduardo can see a puffy red lip being worried to death by straight white teeth in his periphery.

But then Mark’s eyes flick up far enough for him to note that Eduardo can see him, and Eduardo sees the future before it happens, just managing to snatch Mark’s hands away from his waistband and bring them around his middle before Mark can wriggle away from this position he put them in and stop this. And Mark surprises him when he nods, tongue moistening his lips for a moment, and then slips his hand down a little further, until the soft ends of his fingers are wisping over Eduardo’s balls: making Eduardo’s toes curl in his socks where his feet are, one too close to Mark’s calf on the sofa and the other rubbing over the floor near Mark’s ankle as too many sensations wash over him for his leg to keep still, maybe even slipping over the top of Mark’s foot as the caresses intensify.

Mark makes a soft little noise, of curiosity - like the ones he makes when a new app developer actually inspires some interest in him - and Eduardo actually arches up from where their bodies are melding, his own choked off moan much louder when Mark’s hand closes a little tighter in response.
