Mark leaves her car in front of the Stanford Hospital emergency room with the keys inside. She honestly don’t care what happens to it; it’s not like she can’t afford another one. On the drive over, she planned out what she needs to say, and she rehearses it to herself as she walks up to the reception desk. I have been sexually assaulted and I need to see a doctor. But when the nurse looks up at her and says, “Can I help you?” Mark’s mouth opens and then freezes. She repeats her sentence to herself but her jaw and tongue won’t work to say it and her lungs won’t give her the air for it ( ... )

I hope you write more, this is already shaping up amazingly and you are doing an excellent job balancing the emotions. It hurts and is so sad and I want to see how Mark handles it all.

Thank you! I'm really glad this is working for you, especially the emotional aspects. I am trying to update as regularly as possible, although this story is a little exhausting to write so it's going more slowly than I would like. It's going, though!

For what it's worth, I think you're doing an excellent job with this story, both on the level of writing/story craft and in treating the issue respectfully. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm not sure either. There has been a strange influx of girl!AUs recently, and while most of them are harmless, I'm not entirely sure I understand why Mark has to be a girl to be sexually assaulted - in fact, I'm actually a little offended by the notion that girl!Mark is somehow easier/better as a victim of an assault.

This, so much. I try to ignore the prompts that I don't like, because I can and should just ignore them, but this one makes me so uncomfortable. To genderswap a character for the sole purpose of having them sexually assaulted is problematic. :/

Precisely. I mean, I'm not a dick, or looking for a fight because I dislike something, so I know how to scroll - but this prompt, I cannot even begin to describe all the ways it makes me feel uncomfortable and offended. It is so far beyond a kink, or a pairing, simply being unappealing to me.
