I think I'll go for them starting at the beginning then. Am writing it now actually. Have you got any power in particular you want Chris to have? Because I haven't decided on his yet.

I actually planned it a bit before I failed at starting it, so I did have a power for him -- omni-lingual, definitely not attached to it in any way. I was poking through wiki's list and thought it at least sounded interesting.

Ahh I hope I don't ruin your vision of how this would turn out then D:
But omni-lingual does sound pretty interesting. And I could see him ending up in hero-support if I used Coach Boomer in this (which I think I might), that man has no time for such powers.
Despite the fact that Eduardo had absolutely no connection to superpowers other than knowing the children of a couple of moderately well known heroes and sidekicks and yet…and yet even he had a power when Mark had none. Well, powers (plural) if you wanted to be technical. By some strange twist of fate, Eduardo had come to be bitten by a radioactive spider on a school trip and had developed super strength, the ability to climb walls unaided, the ability to produce goddamn spider webs and some weird form of sixth sense that Dustin had gleefully dubbed his Spidey-sense. So while Mark had no powers when he desperately (not that he would admit it) wanted one, Eduardo had several. Maybe the world favoured doe-eyed Brazilians. Or maybe fate simply hated Mark. Either one was equally plausible
( ... )
This is such a great start! It's silly and amusing but also sad and awkward, in the way that Mark has to be in the situation. I laughed out loud at Dustin's power -- dinosaur! -- and the ending. Oh, wee!Mark, you are precious.
Because a) I love high school AUs, b) the politics of the world could be interesting, and c) Mark would be the worst hero support ever.

And yes, totally. It's a cool power but it's not particularly showy or impressive.
