I probably shouldn't start another wip already, but this way I'm committed. (I am in love with the prompt so it's not as if it is a hardship) Also, I hope my Dustin-voice doesn't well-and-truly suck.
This in no way means to represent the real people by the same names.
It happens like this:
Six months after the depositions Dustin stops responding to Mark in short, terse sentences and has a real conversation with his boss.
With his friend.
Which very quickly becomes lunch breaks spent perched on Mark's desk. Which in turn becomes nights spent eating take-out on the couch in Mark's house.
And smiling. There is a lot of smiling.
For all of the disparaging comments that are made about Mark, Dustin can admit (to himself) that he hadn't well in-truly smiled during his self-imposed cold-war against Mark (which, if one of them was Russia and one was the United States, what were Chris and Eduardo?). 'Cause, yeah, Mark was/is/can be a dick, but Dustin kinda loves him for it.
Which is where the verb "happens", and all other action

Dustin is wired in when Chris finally wanders down from the second floor to say hello, so Dustin doesn't notice him immediately. Even when Chris leans his hip against the desk and stares at the back of his head. He only notices he's no longer alone because the desk gives a shake when Chris hops up onto it. He half looks at Chris from the corner of his eye, but doesn't give any indication of greeting. It's not unusual, at least not when there is a deadline. Chris catches his fingers in the sleeve of Dustin's shirt and gives it a tug, effectively pulling Dustin's attention away from the screen. When Dustin looks up Chris is looking back at him expectantly.
“Hey man,” Dustin says. He quickly saves his work so he can turn in his chair to face Chris. He smiles up at his friend, resting his elbow on the desk and attempting to say with his eyes, “what brings you 'round these parts?” Chris shoots him a fond look. Then his gaze drops to the shirt Dustin is wearing and his eyes narrow and his nose scrunches up, Dustin's shirt (Mark's shirt“I

Dustin realizes with a sinking feeling in his stomach, that he shouldn't have told Chris about the kiss. It was one thing to admit to the crush, but Dustin is learning that he really, really should have kept this one thing to himself. If he had, then two minutes after Mark arrived in the office Dustin wouldn't have been watching, frozen with his hand still raised a wave, as Chris storms across the floor

short update, more Mark/Dustin in the next bit
Dustin keeps thinking of the looks on Mark's face and its making his organs churn in an emotion based way (as opposed to - Damn, the pizza really was three weeks old) so the second the door to Chris' office is shut behind them Dustin pulls his phone from his pocket and texts Mark a single, reassuring smiley face. Then he thinks about how interpretable it could be a single smiley could be and he's pushing Chris toward his desk, screwing up his lips as he over thinks things. So he shoots off a second text with about a dozen sideways smileys in a row
