I was thinking it would be a really good to have fill-a-thons every weekend or so. Because there are literally oodles of prompts and like, the amount of prompts posted in a couple of days is insane. I don't think it would hurt the meme to take a break every week and get some things filled.
would it help if they lasted longer as well? because two days isn't really a lot of time, either, and i know that some people don't even see the fill-a-thon before it's over.
i like the idea of keeping on top of the prompts from say, parts one and two, that have never seen the light of day and really should.
there has been some discussion with yukireizei about this but the kink meme is already a lot of work and we're both hesitant to try and change things around when we've just got this working.
we can try in the near future if it really is a problem because i've been asked this before but they already work so hard on the spreadsheet - especially with the different parts - and i don't want to create more work.
we can see if we can come up with an alternative if it will make it easier.
there's that and the impending twitter account which will also help with WIP updates - through which we can segregate RPF and non-rpf prompts.
a request, a suggestion, and a question about overflow post

Could we have the overflow post for the Part III? Its getting close to the max, and I would like to link to the new one.
I think it would be nice if there is a comment link between the original thread and the new one in the overflow. I know the ship has sailed for Part 1, but maybe there can be like a... enthusiastic suggestion for the authors to start getting ready to move over. Because, otherwise, like in Part 1, you find something you really like and then you have to go hunting to see if there is more.
And finally, would it be okay to put up a new thread in the overflow about a WIP just to leave comments/beg for updates? I realize this could get messy if multiple threads are started for the same story...but, idk.
That was longer than I what I had imagined. :/ (And mod is awesome, of course, of course!)

the overflow post will be done tomorrow morning, no problem. (i'm at my iphone now and therefore not able to make it now ;?)
what do you mean by comment link? - so if a fill is nearing completion and so is the post, they post a link to the fic and where it continues on the overflow post? i guess the only problem with this would be the comment limit itself - on part one, like you say, already an issue. part two not so much but i dont know how many WIP authors will manage this but i can make it a requirement and see how we go!
as to the third - i'll see what i can do about it, but i'm sure we'll come up with something.
What about betas? Is there a place to find them? I'd love to post the prompt I'm working on, but I'm so nervous because I know there are so many problems with the tenses and whatnot. I get so nervous about these things :/
